New Mexico State is 11-5 overall in the Orleans arena since the WAC tournament moved there for the 2010-11 season.

Scouting the Roos
The fourth-seeded Roos and the Aggies played two close contests during the regular season. At Kansas City on Jan. 31, Gia Pack dropped a season-high 32 points as NM State won a high-scoring game, 90-86. Then, in Las Cruces on Feb. 28, New Mexico State trailed by 12 with under nine minutes in the game but closed on a 22-4 run for a 68-61 victory.

Kansas City defeated Utah Valley 75-72 in its quarterfinal matchup on March 13. Ericka Mattingly had a huge game as she scored 27 points to go with five assists and four steals. Emily Ivory scored 16 while Kirsten Moore recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.

UMKC is led by First-Team All-WAC selection Ericka Mattingly. Mattingly finished as the second-leading scorer in the conference during the regular season, with 19.2 points per game, behind only Brooke Salas. Mattingly also poses problems on the defensive end as the guard leads the WAC in steals with 3.2 per game.

The Roos boast the second-best scoring offense in the conference as they average 75.8 points per game. However, UMKC ranks towards the bottom in scoring offense as they check in at seventh, giving up 69.3 points per game.

Last Time Out
New Mexico State took on Chicago State in a quarterfinal game at the WAC Tournament in Las Vegas on March 13.

The Aggies put together an impressive performance on both sides of the ball as they shot 49-precent from the field and forced 33 turnovers. NM State's 25 steals for the game tied a WAC Tournament record.

Three different Aggies scored in double figures on the night. Gia Pack had 20 at halftime and finished the game with 28 points, seven steals and four assists. Aaliyah Prince had another big game for the Aggies as she scored 14 points while Brooke Salas added 11 points and six boards.
