JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - NM State bounced back on Friday evening with a strong all‑around performance to even its Conference USA series against Jax State at Jana McGinnis Field. The Aggies struck early and continued to apply pressure throughout, building a lead that held despite a late push from the Gamecocks. Behind timely hits and a complete effort in the circle, NM State secured a 5–3 victory.

NM State opened the scoring in the first as Kendal Lunar launched a solo home run, then added two more in the fourth on an RBI sacrifice fly from Skye Johnson and an RBI single by Lauren Garcia. The Aggies extended the lead in the fifth when Kendal Lunar drove in another run before Jax State rallied with three runs in the sixth. NM State answered in the seventh with an RBI single from Skye Johnson, and Faith Aragon closed out the final frame to seal the win.
