ARLINGTON, Texas – Despite hanging tough in doubles action, NM State fell to UT Arlington 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at the UTA Tennis Center. With the match going final, the Aggies now only have one match remaining on the schedule – a road bout with Abilene Christian on April 16.
DOUBLES
- Corey Clarke and Luca Fé D'Ostiani teamed up for just the first time this season and moved to 1-0 on the year as they knocked off UT Arlington's Santiago Giamichelle and Dante Teramo 7-6 (7-5). Elsewhere, the Mavericks secured two wins to earn the doubles point.
SINGLES
- In solo play, Luca Fé D'Ostiani pushed his opponent, Dante Teramo, to a third set before falling while Itay Feigin saw his match go a tiebreaker, however, both dropped their matches. Elsewhere, the other four Aggies fell in straight sets.
UP NEXT
The Aggies will visit ACU before beginning postseason action when they return to Arlington for the WAC Tournament. The WAC Tournament will feature all six men's programs and will take place from April 27-29 at the UTA Tennis Center.
