LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The NM State baseball team heads to the Pacific Northwest to kick off a crucial weekend in Western Athletic Conference play. As the Aggies battle for position heading towards the conference tournament, they have an outstanding opportunity to gain ground and build momentum for the remainder of the regular season.

AGGIE FACTS
  • NM State got back into the win column on Tuesday night against Benedictine Mesa with a dominant 12-3 win. In a strong bullpen day effort, Brendon Rodriguez, Josh Laukkanen, Frank Dickson IV, Brandon Doty, and Hayden Johns all made the most of their opportunities.
  • Logan Gallina homered twice on Tuesday night and became the first Aggies to drive in at least five runs in a single game this season.
  • Earlier this season, the Aggies lost two of three to Seattle U in Las Cruces. The Friday night affair was a 13-inning thriller, ending with the Redhawks on top, 13-12.
  • Last weekend, the Aggies took one of three from UT – Rio Grande Valley in a non-conference series. On Friday night, the Aggies won the series opener 11-8.
  • Gunner Antillon's .438 batting average would match the nation's leader – Myles Nicholson of UMBC – if Antillon met the qualifying number of games played.
  • The Aggies trail both Seattle U and Utah Valley by 1.5 games in the WAC West standings, giving itself a chance to make a significant jump this weekend.

ABOUT THE REDHAWKS
  • Seattle U fell in a midweek contest to Washington State, 11-6 earlier this week at home.
  • Last weekend, the Redhawks made the trip to California and took one of three from Sacramento State. After splitting a Friday doubleheader, Sacramento State claimed the series with a win on Saturday.
  • The Redhawks have not won a series in WAC play since March 18 and 19 against Sacramento State.
  • All time, the Aggies and Redhawks have split their 18 meetings with each side winning nine games.
  • Gavin Rork has reached base safely in 14 straight games for Seattle U.
