Opening Tip
NM State (3-7, 0-0 WAC) travels to Portland this weekend to take one Portland State, Saturday at 3 p.m. (MT). This will be the seventh road game in eight games the Aggies will have played in the past 21 days.
The Aggies are looking to put an end to their three-game losing streak with a win over the Vikings on Saturday.
PSU returns to their home court after losing their last two road games to Pepperdine and Portland.
Last Time Out
NM State and UTEP battled it out in Las Cruces last Tuesday for their second and last meeting of the season. The Aggies were in striking distance of beating the Miners once again but ultimately fell to their I-10 rival (57-52), going 0-2 in the season series.
Molly Kaiser nearly reached her career high in points (20) after dropping 18 for her team in the loss. Ene Adams scored her first basket as an Aggie adding eight points to the scoring mix, which is also just two points shy of her career high.
Close, But No Cigar
The last eight contests for the Aggies have been decided by single digits with five of those games being within two possessions or less.
Money Molly
The third-year guard our of Texas, Molly Kaiser, leads the team in scoring averaging 11.7 points a game this season and 15 points a game over her last five games, dating back to Nov. 30 at UTEP.
Knocking 'em Down
Second year forward, Ashlee Strawbridge leads the team in both field goal percentage (.479) and three-point percentage (.500). Strawbridge has connected on 23 of her 48 shots taken this season.
Trusted Trio
Molly Kaiser, Fama Thiam and Ashlee Stawbridge are the only three players to have started in all ten of the Aggies games this season. They are also just three out of five members to have logged more than 200 minutes for Jody Adams this year - Taylor Donaldson (249) and Soufia Inoussa (233) are the other two.
Road Warriors
The Aggies are playing their seventh game away from home over their last eight contests stretching back to their Nov. 25 trip to Denver. The Aggies will return to Las Cruces Next week for a quick game against Northern NM before they are on the road again Dec. 29. The Aggies will close out the 2022 calander year with a trip to Edinburg, Texas to face UTRGV for the start of conference play.

NM State returns to the Pan Am Tuesday, Dec. 20, at noon to play host to Northern NM for the final game of this non-conference slate. The Aggies have two more games after that - one at UTRGV, and one in Las Cruces to host Southern Utah on New Year's Eve.
