BENCH UNLOADS IN SEATTLE
With the Aggies dominating the Redhawks on the road, head coach Chris Jans unloaded his bench. All 15 players saw action and registered at least two points each for the first time this season. The bench accounted for nearly half of the team's scoring, recording 43 of the 87 points Thursday night.
Fans in attendance and those watching on ESPN+ were treated to a pair of emphatic dunks from Trevelin Queen and Berrick JeanLouis as well as plays from Mohamed Thiam and Robert Brown.

WHAT CAN BROWN DO FOR YOU?
Transfer Terrell Brown has been a consistent beacon on the offensive end of the floor for NM State as of late, averaging 17.2 points and 3.4 rebounds while knocking down 13-of-25 (.520) shots from beyond the arc in the last five games. The 6-1 guard is the only Aggie averaging in double-figures in the last five games while also playing a team-high 133 minutes during that five-game span.

In addition, he's also pacing the team through 18 games with an 11.3 points average on 2.8 boards and team-high 34 made 3-pointers.

MCCANTS BEGINNING TO EMERGE
With a late summer injury setting him back, Johnny McCants is finally beginning to return to his former self just in time. The redshirt sophomore is the only other player other than Terrell Brown (17.0 ppg) to being averaging in double-figures with 10.8 points per game and 6.0 rebounds since the start of Western Athletic Conference play.

The 6-7 forward is also shooting a team-high .586 clip from the floor on 17-of-29 shooting in league action on top of his .500 shooting clip from downtown (3-of-6).

ENTERING THE WOLVERINE DEN
NM State enters Saturday's league battle with Utah Valley 7-3 overall record against UVU and 3-2 when playing the Wolverines on the road. UVU is also riding a 22-game home win-streak after Thursday night's 82-61 win over UT Rio Grande Valley – pushing its record at home this year to 8-0.

As a team, the Wolverines are shooting quite well with a .485 clip, but like the Aggies are also allowed opponents to shoot at a clip - .418 to be exact heading into Saturday's contest. Utah Valley had a tough start to league action, going 0-2 before winning its last two games against Seattle U (88-78) and UTRGV.

Jake Toolson paces Utah Valley in the scoring column, averaging 15.8 points and 4.5 boards per game with an impressive .582 shooting clip. His cousin Connor Toolson is next in the scoring list for UVU with 13.3 points per game and 3.1 rebounds per game while hitting a team-high 40 triples and 33 steals.

Connor McDougall isn't far off from both Toolsons, checking in with a 9.1 points average and team-high .678 shooting clip. Baylee Steele's 6.7 rebounds per game is a team-high while also averaging 7.9 points. TJ Washington is the team's floor general, posting a team-high 79 assists on the year on top of his 8.3 points per game.

LAST TIME OUT
New Mexico State started its three-game road swing with a triumphant 87-60 victory over Seattle U and led wire-to-wire. The Aggies were paced by Eli Chuha's fourth double-double of the season as the senior hauled in 13 points on 10 boards while JoJo Zamora and Terrell Brown each had a dozen points apiece.

Clayton Henry made his first start since the CSUN game Thursday, scoring eight points with five boards on 3-of-3 shooting – two of which came from beyond the arc. Trevelin Queen also had a nice showing, tying his season-high with nine points and eight boards on 4-of-6 shooting. Last, but not least, was Johnny McCants, who chipped in with nine points of his own thanks to a pair of corner threes.

UP NEXT
New Mexico State will have a single game next week but will remain on the road as it travels to the Lone Star State to take on UT Rio Grande Valley on Saturday, Jan. 26, for a 6 p.m. (MT) tip-off on the WAC Digital Network.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Aggies will return to the friendly confines of the Pan American Center for a pair of games against Kansas City (Jan. 31) and Chicago State (Feb. 2). Both games are slated to be televised with the UMKC game scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. (MT) while the CSU game is slated to tip at 3 p.m.
