ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – After securing the Western Athletic Conference regular season title last weekend, the NM State softball team is set to travel to Rio Grande rival New Mexico on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. at the Lobo Softball Field for their regular season finale.

The Aggies are 34-19 overall and finished the season 14-1 in conference play after sweeping UMKC last weekend. After a close, 5-4 victory on a rainy Friday night, NM State captured a 7-2 win in game two of the series on Saturday night to secure the conference title. Head coach Kathy Rodolph then collected her 600th overall win as the team garnered an 11-8 victory in the series finale.
 
NM State is 63-80 against New Mexico after topping the Lobos 11-3 on Mar. 8. New Mexico is 22-21 overall this season after dropping a 7-5 decision to Boise State on Sunday.
