NM State Hosts No. 15 Missouri


LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Following an eight-game road trip, the NM State softball team is set to return home this weekend as they host a three-game series against No. 15 Missouri, with the first game at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the NM State Softball Complex.
 
Saturday will feature a double header with the second game scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday's game is set for 2:00 p.m. and will be broadcast by AggieVision. In addition to AggieVision, the game will also air live on FOX-Arizona, FCS-Pacific, Altitude, ESPN3 and the WAC Digital Network.

The Aggies are 20-13 after going 0-3 in the UCF Spring Fling on Tuesday and Wednesday. NM State dropped a 3-0 decision to Purdue before falling 3-0 to UCF on Tuesday. Wednesday, after six scoreless innings, the Aggies took the lead as Kelsey Horton hit a single to right field to score Amy Bergeson. UCF then scored two in the bottom of the seventh inning to capture the victory.
 
NM State is 0-2 all-time against Missouri. The teams last squared off on Feb. 22, 2003 as the Tigers defeated the Aggies 17-4. Missouri is 17-4 this season after topping Western Illinois 6-0 in both games of their double header on Wednesday.
