@NMStateVBall Set to Defend WAC Tournament Crown at Home

The NM State volleyball team is set to defend its WAC Tournament crown beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18.

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State volleyball team looks to defend its Western Athletic Conference Tournament crown on Friday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. inside the Pan American Center when it takes on the winner between UMKC and UT Rio Grande Valley.

As the No. 1 overall seed, NM State will have a bye during the first round of the WAC Tournament.

This is the first time NM State has hosted the tournament since schools began hosting the conference tournament.
New Mexico State will play the winner of UMKC and UT Rio Grande Valley on Friday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pan American Center.
NM State is 15-8 (.652) all-time in the conference tournament and has claimed the tournament title three times.
The Aggies lead the conference in kills (14.38), assists (13.21) and opponent hitting percentage (.154) heading into the conference tournament.
Jordan Abalos is second in the WAC with 3.77 kills per set and secnd in the league with 4.20 points per set.
She also finished the regular-season with 15 double-doubles while Battle finished with nine.
Ariadnne Sierra is second in the league with 4.62 digs per set and third in the WAC with 40 service aces.
Sasha-Lee Thomas is fifth in conference with a .284 hitting clip.
Aggies are 8-3 this season when playing at home - two of those losses have come against teams that are receiving votes in the current AVCA Top-25 Poll.
