Lennert returned to Las Cruces in December 2023 to serve as the assistant swim coach after an impressive career competing for the Aggies from 2012 to 2016. During her time as a student-athlete at NM State, she was named WAC Swimmer of the Year in her senior year and still holds the program records for the 100 and 200 butterfly. Additionally, she was the WAC Champion in the 200 IM and played a key role in several of the program’s top relay teams, including freestyle and medley. 

Coach Lennert graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from NM State in 2016, and subsequently earned her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. While at the University of Mary, she served as an assistant coach for their new Division II program, where she had a rewarding experience contributing to the development of a burgeoning team.
