Genesis Chavarria joined NM State Athletics in July 2023 and serves as the athletic trainer for the Aggie women’s soccer program. Before coming to Las Cruces, she completed a Certified Athletic Trainer Internship at the University of Florida, working with women’s soccer and lacrosse from 2022–2023. A native of Anthony, Texas, Chavarria earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M University and her master’s degree in athletic training from Texas State University. She returned to the region to be closer to family and now resides in Las Cruces with her boyfriend and their dog, Ivy Fifi Wvy.
