LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After a weekend at the HEB Invitational in Corpus Christi, the Aggies headed back to Las Cruces and are now set to host Western New Mexico for their first home match of the season on Friday, Feb. 28 at 2:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT | VS Louisiana (FEB 22)
Last time out, NM State wrapped up its weekend at the H-E-B Invitational with a tough 4-2 loss to Louisiana. Following a hard-fought battle against UT Arlington on day one, the Aggies returned to the courts Saturday morning but fell short against the Ragin' Cajuns in a singles-only contest.
Tobias Wallin and Holland Snell provided early sparks for NM State, earning straight-set victories to give the Aggies momentum. Wallin cruised past Manson Landreth 6-2, 6-1, while Snell dominated Calin Postea 6-1, 6-3. However, NM State was unable to sustain its early success, dropping the final four matches—including two that extended to three sets—to close out the tournament.
