LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State heads west in their first road trip of the season to face off against Pacific on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. MT. This is the third time that the Aggies and the Tigers will face off in program history.
 
Aggie Accolades
2023 All-Conference USA Second Team member Brooke Schultz won her first Conference-USA Weekly Award of her career CUSA announced on Aug. 27, at 11 a.m. MT. Schultz recorded two goals and one assist on the week.
 
Schultz had a stellar week as she scored two goals in two games, both game-winning goals. Her first goal on the week came against Oregon where she put the Aggies ahead on a free kick leading them to their first win over a power-four conference team in program history. Her second goal of the week came in the game's final two minutes against Texas A&M-Commerce. She also recorded the only Aggie Assist in the TAMUC game.
 
Record Watch
Entering the 2024 season three Aggies have made quite a splash in the Aggie record book. Loma McNeese currently sits at second in all-time assists and game-winning goals. The fifth year She is also third in points, third in shots, and fourth in goals.
 
Xitlaly Hernandez has continued climbing the record book in her five seasons wearing the crimson and white.  She is sixth in all-time assists, seventh in shots, tenth in points and tenth in goals. Goalie Valerie Guha ranks second in all-time shutouts, sixth in goalkeeper wins, seventh in goals against average and tenth in career saves.
 
 
Unbeaten
The Aggies are currently on a 12-game regular season unbeaten streak, with their last loss being USC on Sept. 14, 2023. They are also on a seven-game home unbeaten streak with their last loss being UNLV on Sept. 7, 2023.
 
The Aggies are now 13-2-6 at home dating back to 2022. Since 2023 Offensive Player of the Year Loma McNeese arrived on campus the Aggies are 21-8-6 at home.
 
Game Winners
Schultz has recorded back-to-back game-winners this season. Her first came against Oregon with her second being against Texas A&M-Commerce. Notably, this is her second time to reach such a feat in consecutive years. Schultz managed to record back-to-back game-winners in 2023 against Conference foes Middle Tennessee and Liberty.
 
History
The Aggies have played the Tigers on two other occasions winning one game and losing the other. This is the first game that is going to be played in Stockton, Calif. NM State first played Pacific in 2018 where the Aggies fell to the Tigers 2-1
 
The Aggies and Tigers played each other in 2023 with the Aggies coming out on top by a score of 3-1. In that game, Sydnee Johnson, Mya Gonzales and Bianca Chacon all recorded a goal. Both Chacon and Johnson recorded an assist.
 
Scouting the Tigers
The Tigers are 1-2 on the season with a win against Houston Christian and losses against future Aggie opponents Arizona and UC Davis. They have scored just two goals on the season coming from Taylor Curtis and Alexis Pashales.
 
Ariana Gronauer and Ka'ui Lani Pinkney both have one assist on the year. There have been two Tigers featured in goal, Libby Davy and Sierra Schwarz. Davy has spent 236 minutes in goal recording 11 saves and allowing nine goals.

The Aggies will face off against Pacific on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 8 p.m., they will then go up against Washington on Sept. 1.
