Aggies Open Spring Season at Texas Tech

THE FIRST SERVE
• Following a tournament in Palm Springs, Calif., last weekend, the Aggies will officially begin their spring season as they travel to the High Plains to take on Texas Tech on Saturday night at the Lubbock Country Club.
• NM State begins the spring season with six returners from the 2022-23 season while Head Coach Carlos Vargas brought in a trio of newcomers over the summer.
• Junior Luca Fé d'Ostiani looks to build off his sophomore campaign in which he finished the semester tied for the team lead in singles wins with six, leading him to collect Second Team All-WAC honors.
Itay Feigin also prepares for another season with the Aggies after finishing last season ranked second on the team in singles wins.
• NM State also brings back fellow returners Patrick Lohmann, Henrik Lynum, Vassanth Mathan and Roko Stipetic.
• Meanwhile, this will be the first spring season in Crimson and White for ITA All-American Gustavo Campos, Ricardo Mercado and Tobias Wallin.
• Saturday will also mark opening weekend for the Aggies' opponent, however, Texas Tech will be playing its second match of the spring after opening the day with a duel against Wichita State.
• The match versus the Red Raiders will be streamed live via PlaySight while live scores will be available via StatBroadcast.
