COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Although the Aggies emerged from the opening day of the ITA Mountain Regional without a victory, several Aggies put forth performances that they can build on across the final three days of the tournament.
 
In the morning, the duo of Luca Fe D'Ostiani and Itay Feigin battled with Bodin Zarkovic before suffering a close defeat. Feigin also managed a strong showing in singles play as he and Idaho State's Valentino De Pellegrin competed in what was the most competitive match of the 46 played on Thursday at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
 
In a match that reached the tiebreaker in all three sets, Feigin fell in the opening set 6-7 (5-7) before bouncing back to even the score with a 7-6 (8-10) win in the second frame. The final set was equally as entertaining as the two before it as De Pellegrin emerged with a 7-6 (9-7) win in the final set.
 
Like Feigin, Tobias Wallin also forced a third set against his opponent, however, fell to Weber State's Tristan Sarap.
