ARLINGTON, Texas - On Friday, NM State's women's tennis team lost 6-1 to UT Arlington in Texas. The Aggies will be back on the court on Sunday against the Vaqueros of UTRGV.

Singles
- In the singles draw, NMSU's Anna Pinaieva managed to win her match against Liz Chileno of UTA with a score of 7-6 (7-5), 6-3.
- However, the rest of the singles matches were won by UTA. Tara Gorinsek defeated Lisa Zhu of NMSU 6-4, 6-4, while Sarina Reinertsen won against Valeriia Ivanovskaia of NMSU with a score of 6-2, 6-1.
- Bruna Casasampere of UTA also secured a win against Natsuki Nishimura of NMSU with a score of 6-4, 6-2.
- Ana Paula Jimenez of UTA won against Miranda Bishard of NMSU with a score of 6-3, 6-1.
- Francisca Vergara of UTA won against Bella Nguyen of NMSU with a score of 6-3, 7-5. \
UP NEXT
The Aggies will conclude a two-match two-step through Texas with a Sunday morning match at UTRGV before returning to Las Cruces for two matches next weekend. NM State will host Sam Houston on Friday, March 31 and Stephen F. Austin on Sunday, April 2.
