Aggies Close Out Seven-Game Homestand with Match Versus New Mexico

NM State to host Lobos on Saturday at the NM State Tennis Center

FIRST SERVE
• The Aggies' extended home stand concludes this weekend as they play host to New Mexico on Saturday at Noon at the NM State Tennis Center.
• NM State will look to extend its winning streak to three games after its previous matchup with Northern Arizona was canceled. The Aggies most recently took down Incarnate Word 6-1 on Saturday, Feb. 18.
Lisa Zhu continues to be the Aggies' top singles player – recording four wins this season from the No. 2 position.
• Head Coach Emily Wang has also got solid production from Miranda BishardNatsuki Nishimura and Anna Pinaieva each of whom has three wins on the year.
• In doubles action, Bella Nguyen and Miranda Bishard lead the way with four victories while Anna Pinaieva and Lisa Zhu follow with three wins on the season.
 
SCOUTING THE LOBOS
• The Lobos are currently 5-1 on the season and have swept their opponent in each of their wins.
• UNM is led in singles play by Maud Vandeputte with 13 victories. Sofia Taborga and Hsuan Huang follow closely behind with 11 and 10 wins respectfully.
• Leonie Hoppe and Katheriner Jhang are UNM's undisputed top doubles team – winning 10 of their 12 matches together.
 
UP NEXT
NM State will play its first road game in over a month when they face UNLV on Friday, March 3. They will return to the friendly confines of the NM State Tennis Center for the Battle of I-10 on Friday, March 10. The Aggies and Miners will begin play at 10 a.m.
