LAS VEGAS – A three-day stay in Las Vegas came to a close on Sunday afternoon for the Aggies (0-4) as they fell 4-0 to Hawai'i.
DOUBLES
- Corey Clarke and Roko Stipetic continue to build chemistry alongside one another and that was evident on Sunday when they took a talented Rainbow Warrior tandem to a tiebreaker before falling 7-6 (7-5).
- Luca Fé D'Ostiani and Itay Feigin also joined forces on Saturday – playing together for the second time this season. The duo battled Hawai'i's Lucas Labrunie and Andy Hernandez to a 6-6 score before their match would conclude due to UH clinching the doubles point via a win at the No. 1 spot.
SINGLES
- Roko Stipetic's play in doubles carried over to singles action as he was able to earn a 6-4 win in the first set over the Rainbow Warriors' No. 4 player Lucas Labrunie, however, Stipetic's singles match would go unfinished after Hawai'i clinched the match at spots No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6.
- Despite falling 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 1 spot, Corey Clarke held his own against, Andre Ilagan, the No. 41 ranked player in the country.
- Like Stipetic, Itay Feigin also his opened his singles match with a 6-4 win in the first set and would find himself tied with UH's Guillaume Tattevin 2-2 in the second set before the match was clinched.
- Sophomore Luca Fé D'Ostiani was the third and final Aggie to earn a set win as he earned a convincing 6-1 win in the second set against Andy Hernandez after falling 6-4 in the first set. Fé D'Ostiani appeared to possibly be headed toward his first win as an Aggie after winning the first two games of the second set before his match went unfinished.
