THE KICKOFF
• Hoping to dodge back-to-back losses, the NM State women's soccer team heads to Sin City, the final leg of a six-match road trip, to take on Mountain West foe UNLV.
• Kickoff has been set for 2:00 p.m. from Johann Memorial Field for the second all-time matchup between the two clubs.
• NM State is going for its second victory over a Mountain West club this season. The Aggies picked up a 3-2 road win at Nevada back on August 29.

THE SERIES
• UNLV won the only other meeting between the clubs by a 3-2 score back on September 21, 2014 in Las Cruces.

NM STATE NOTES
• The Aggies dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime decision to borderland rival UTEP last Thursday night in El Paso.
• In the loss, Hannah Leitner became the program's all-time assist leader by feeding Bianca Chacon for a goal in the ninth minute which put the Aggies on top 1-0.
• Leitner's four assists this year are the most in the WAC and have added to her team-leading point total (eight).
• NM State dropped its record in overtime tilts to 1-1 this season following Thursday night's setback.
• The Aggies' three road wins this season are one shy of the single-season program record.

SCOUTING UNLV | ROSTER | SCHEDULE | STATISTICS
• Winners of four of its last five matches, UNLV is hoping to keep its near-flawless home record intact.
• The Rebels are also going in search of their first victory over a WAC foe this season. UNLV is 0-2 against WAC programs in 2021, dropping 2-1 decisions to both Dixie State and Grand Canyon (in double overtime).
• Scoring options are not in short supply for the Mountain West squad as four players have pumped in multiple goals through the team's first seven 2021 games. Hevani Haunga leads the way with three goals while Marcella Brooks, Alysa Caso and Nailah Harpring have struck for two each.
• Twelve members of the team have registered points, none more than Brooks and Haunga who have six apiece.
• Between the pipes, Charlotte Brisley has been the team's go-to net minder. She is in possession of a perfect 4-0 record as well as a sterling goals against average of 1.10. Of her team's 30 saves, she has made 16 of them.
• UNLV was picked to finish fifth in the Mountain West in the 2021 women's soccer preseason poll. The Rebels amassed 77 points in the listing.
• After dropping their first home match of the season, the Rebels have won their last four including a 2-1 Friday night triumph over Weber State.

COMING UP NEXT
• After nearly one month away from home, the Aggies return to the NM State Soccer Athletics Complex for an in-state showdown with longtime rival New Mexico. Kickoff for the Aggies' second home fixture of the campaign is set for 7:00 p.m. Thursday night.
