THE KICKOFF
• Hoping to remain in the ranks of the unbeaten NCAA Division I women's soccer teams, the NM State Aggies continue their six-match road trip with a showdown at Mountain West for Nevada Sunday at 1:00 p.m. from Mackay Stadium.
• Though the game is currently scheduled to take place in Reno, Nev., that may change. Due to smoke levels in the area due to wildfires, Nevada was forced to relocate its Thursday match with UTEP to nearby Davis, Calif. Should a change in the location of the match between NM State and Nevada occur, it will be communicated to fans through NMStateAggies.com – the official home of Aggie athletics – and on the Aggies' Facebook (NM State Women's Soccer), Twitter (@NMStateWSOC) and Instagram (@NMStateWSOC).
• Sunday's match marks the sixth all-time meeting between the Aggies and the Wolfpack. NM State is 1-4 (.200) against Nevada with the last matchup coming on September 18, 2016 – a 2-0 home setback for NM State.
• Now in his fourth season as the Aggies' head coach,
Rob Baarts is going for his first triumph against a Mountain West program in his tenure. NM State is 0-5-1 against Mountain West programs with Baarts at the helm.
WHAT A START
• Prior to Friday night, no NM State women's soccer squad in the history of the program had gotten off to a 2-0 start on the season.
• That changed when the Aggies scored a 2-0 victory over UC Davis in California, hiking their 2021 mark to 2-0.
• The best start through three games in the history of the program came in 2010 when the Aggies posted a 2-0-1 record out of the gates en route to a 7-8-3 finish.

Shea O'Connor moved up to seventh on the Aggies' all-time goal scoring list by registering a pair of goals – one in the 10
th minute and another in the 71
st – as NM State scored a 2-0 win at UC Davis Friday night.
• Senior goalkeeper
Makenna Gottschalk recorded her first clean sheet in an Aggie uniform, stopping all three shots on net she faced.
• The meeting was the inaugural one between NM State and UC Davis.

• Trinity Sandridge came up with an assist on the game-tying goal and struck for the game-winning one in the 76
th minute to lift Nevada to a 2-1 win over UTEP Thursday night.
• The win pushed the Wolfpack's record to 1-1.
• Nevada was picked to finish 12
th in the 12-team Mountain West when the league unveiled its 2021 Women's Soccer preseason poll. The Wolfpack gathered up 15 total points in the listing which was announced on Wednesday, Aug. 11.
• Sandridge and Gabby Brown have each netted one of the Wolfpack's two goals this year.
• Between the pipes, Kendal Stovall has yielded just two goals through her two complete games of action. Stovall has also made 11 saves through that same span.
COMING UP NEXT
• Following their first bout with a Mountain West foe of 2021, the Aggies head to the Lone Star State to do battle with their first Power Five adversary of the season. Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. MT, NM State does battle with Texas in Austin. The Longhorn Network is set to stream every second of the action.
