SEATTLE – A pair of goals in the opening 28 minutes of the game by Seattle U were too much for the NM State women's soccer team to overcome as the Aggies dropped a 2-0 WAC decision Sunday afternoon at Championship Field.

Makenna Gottschalk went off the side of the NM State netminder's right foot. The ball fell right to the Redhawks' Gabe Jillings who sent it over the head of an Aggie defender to Bailey Hall who send a left-footed strike past Gottschalk to put the hosts ahead 1-0.
28' | Seattle U doubles its lead off of its seventh free kick of the afternoon. Michele Adam curled in a free kick try from the far side, bending it into the top-left corner past the outstretched arms of Gottschalk.
KEY PERFORMERS/STATISTICS OF NOTE
• Two of the Redhawks' first three shots on goal found the back of the net and Gottschalk wrapped up her full game of work with four saves.
• NM State tested Seattle U netminder Jessica Berlin with a trio of on-target tries.
Gia Valenti notched the Aggies' first shot on goal with just under four minutes left in the openin frame when she drove a try through traffic which was stopped by the Redhawks' goalkeeper.
